A family member installed a 22k BTU Mitsubishi mini split in his 4 car garage (also purchased from ecomfort), i was so impressed with his unit i had to buy one myself. I bought this unit to heat and cool an 500sq ft 2 car, garage with 14' ceiling in NJ. I insulated the garage and self installed. The installation in my open garage took about 8 hours start to finish, its a little involved but not over the top, a gauge vacuum set from HF made getting the unit up and running easy. I have extensive building trade skills so installing the AC unit was quite simple for me to tackle myself. I had to have a branch 220v electrical panel added to service the unit. The only problem I had was finding a HVAC contractor to test the unit for leaks prior to firing it up. Since most licensed HVAC contractors don't want to touch so small a job or they don't want the liability of signing off on the leak test if they did not install the unit themselves. Had this boiler for 2 winters now in MA. First winter was hard. This last one less so. Great product. Made is USA. Cast iron. Will last forever my plumber tells me. Still 84% efficient. Doesn't need yearly maintenance like the higher efficient junk out there. That high efficient junk also requires a power vent that is super loud. Consider that too in your purchase. We talked about this for years and finally had one installed in our master bedroom. Our bedroom is the farthest room from our main unit. We had to keep the thermostat lower than necessary to make our room tolerable to sleep at night. This unit is quiet and cools wonderfully. Doesn't take long to cool the room when turned on. So many options can be programmed with the remote control. LOVE LOVE LOVE!
